Microsoft Stream Integration¶
Peer5 can be easily integrated with Microsoft Stream (Or Microsoft Teams External Apps) via the Microsoft Stream Network Caching Admin Settings.
Integration¶
Within the Microsoft Stream Network Caching Admin Settings page, follow these steps:
-
Toggle the "Enable a third-party eCDN solution" option:
-
Under the "Choose a third-party eCDN solution provider" option, select "Peer5":
-
Under the "Customer ID" option, enter your personal Peer5 customer ID, available here:
-
Leave the "Analytics report URL" option blank
-
Paste the following text in to the "Configuration settings" option, replacing the
PEER5_CUSTOMER_ID
placeholder with your own, available here

How to verify integration is successful¶
Once you finished with the integration steps above, you should validate that the integration is successful by following these steps:
-
Go to the Microsoft Stream Videos page, and choose one of your videos.
-
Wait for the video to load and press the shortcut keys alt+shift+p, which will toggle the Peer5 overlay.
-
Now you should see the Peer5 overlay with statistics for your personal viewing session. If you open another browser tab with the same stream, you should be able to see P2P traffic between the 2 tabs.
